How to Make Your System Last a Lifetime
High-performance components demand high-quality materials — and proper care. Our systems are engineered for strength, precision, and long-term reliability, and with proper maintenance, they are designed to last a lifetime.
Why We Use 7000 Series Aluminium
All of our aluminium components are manufactured from 7000 series aluminium. We choose this material for one key reason: strength.
Compared to the commonly used 6000 series aluminium, the 7000 series offers up to double the yield strength, allowing us to create lighter, stiffer, and more robust components without unnecessary bulk.
This level of strength is essential for maintaining structural integrity under high loads, aggressive riding positions, and long-term use.

Understanding Corrosion & Salt Exposure
While 7000 series aluminium excels in strength, it is more susceptible to galvanic corrosion due to a higher level of zinc when left in the presence of salt for extended periods of time
Salt exposure most commonly comes from rider sweat. Long sessions on the turbo trainer or riding in hot, humid conditions can cause salt to build up on the cockpit and hardware. Over time, if left untreated, this can increase the risk of corrosion and, in extreme cases, corrosion cracking.
This is not a flaw — it is a known characteristic of high-strength aluminium alloys, and one that can be easily managed with proper care.

How to Keep Your Bike Clean & Reduce Corrosion
A few simple maintenance steps will dramatically extend the life of your components:
- Wipe down your cockpit after every ride using a clean, dry cloth to remove sweat and salt residue
- Pay close attention to joints, bolt heads, and interfaces where salt can accumulate
- After heavy turbo use or riding in extreme heat, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the entire cockpit area to remove excess salt and sweat
For riders who frequently train indoors or in harsh conditions:
- Regularly disassemble the system to clean hard-to-reach areas
- Ensure all components are completely dry and properly greased before reassembly.
