Aero Chainring for 4 110 BCD 9200 8100 Series

Lightweight hard anodised aluminium aero chainrings

From: £123.00

DRAG2ZERO Aero 1x Chainrings are hard anodised aluminium aero chainrings for a 1x set up.

The challenge with any chain ring is to ensure that it holds the chain as securely as possible to avoid chain drop, but at the same time minimise contact (to maximise efficiency). In removing the front derailleur to improve aerodynamics, the chain angle is increased, making this even more of a challenge, particularly when the lower gears are used. To counter these issues, the teeth on our chain rings are higher than a conventional ring and have an increased chamfer to reduce noise and friction.

Features:

  • 10, 11 and 12-speed chain compatible!
  • Available from 48 to 68 Teeth
  • Manufactured in the UK from 6082 aluminium and hard anodised,
  • Circular aero chainrings are specifically designed for use with a single front ring
  • The narrow/wide raised teeth design reduces the risk of chain drop.

They will require the use of 1X chainring bolts.

For compatibility, please check our Aero Chainring templates here.

For our largest chain rings with 64, 66 and 68 teeth, please check the outer diameter measurements in the dimensions tab below to ensure your frame can provide enough clearance.

Chainring Bolts

The black alloy chainring bolts are lightweight aluminium bolts that match the chainring’s finish and offer a more weight-saving, aesthetic option. Aluminium bolts generally weigh less but are softer than steel, so they can’t be torqued as tightly and may be more prone to wear or damage under high loads compared with steel.

In contrast, the stainless steel chainring bolts with backing plates are heavier but much more durable and corrosion-resistant. The backing plates spread clamping force more evenly across the chainring, increasing strength and reducing the chance of pull-through or loosening, especially under high torque or long-term use. Stainless steel can also accept higher torque and resists corrosion better than aluminium, making it a more robust choice for longevity.

If your priority is minimal weight and matching aesthetics, the Black Alloy option is the one for you; if you want strength, durability and reliability over many miles or in tough conditions, the stainless steel with backing plates is the better choice.
